The Southern Rams basketball team (Oakland, MD), was nudged 50-47 in Wednesday's league battle with the host Mountain Ridge Miners (Frostburg, MD)

The Miners now possess a 4-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Fort Hill for a Appalachian battle on Friday, January 5. Mountain Ridge will confront a Sentinels team coming off a 72-53 non-league win over Brunswick (Brunswick, MD). The Sentinels record now stands at 3-2.
