The Taos Tigers basketball team scored 41 points and restricted the visiting Pojoaque Valley Elks/Elkettes to 27 in the Tigers non-league victory on Friday.

The Tigers now sport a 5-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Moriarty for a non-league contest on Thursday, January 26. Taos will battle a Pintos team coming off a 57-34 league loss to Espanola Valley (Espanola, NM). The Pintos record now stands at 2-8.

The Elks/Elkettes (3-5) will now prepare for their contest against Hope Christian (Albuquerque, NM). The Huskies come into the non-league contest with a 6-7 record. In their last contest, Hope Christian prevailed over Valley (Albuquerque, NM), 71-60, in a non-league contest.
