The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Americas Trail Blazers (El Paso, TX) and the visiting Venus Bulldogs (Venus, TX), observed Americas's basketball team overcome Venus by a margin of 51-42.

The Trail Blazers (8-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Midland Legacy (Midland, TX). The Rebels come into the non-league challenge with a 8-5 record. In their last challenge, Midland Legacy defeated Venus (Venus, TX), 69-56, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Bulldogs battle the Hillsboro Eagles (Hillsboro, TX) in a 4A Region II District 12 challenge, on Tuesday, December 17. Venus will attempt to better on its 7-12 season record.
