The Coronado Dons basketball team (Scottsdale, AZ), dropped 57-45 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Vista Grande Spartans (Casa Grande, AZ)

The Spartans now possess a 4-12 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Apache Junction for a 4A Black Canyon battle on Tuesday, January 11. Vista Grande will battle a Prospectors team coming off a 84-22 league loss to Poston Butte (San Tan Valley, AZ). The Prospectors record now stands at 1-14.

The Dons (1-10) will now prepare for their battle against Combs (San Tan Valley, AZ). The Coyotes come into the 4A Black Canyon battle with a 5-12 record. In their last battle, Combs beat Cortez (Phoenix, AZ), 79-77, in a league battle.
