Maryland High School Basketball - Long Reach thwarted by River Hill
January 11, 2017: Clarksville, MD 21029 The Long Reach Lightning basketball team (Columbia, MD), dropped 50-36 in Wednesday's league battle with the host River Hill Hawks (Clarksville, MD)
The Hawks now possess a 8-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Howard for a Howard County battle on Friday, January 13. River Hill will battle a Lions team coming off a 66-64 league win over Oakland Mills (Columbia, MD). The Lions record now stands at 4-7.
The Lightning (5-7) will now prepare for their battle against Hammond (Columbia, MD). The Golden Bears come into the Howard County battle with a 4-8 record. In their last battle, Hammond beat Reservoir (Fulton, MD), 52-48, in a league battle.
