Illinois High School Basketball - Jacksonville thwarts Granite City
December 8, 2022: Granite City, IL 62040 The Jacksonville Crimsons (Jacksonville, IL) basketball knocked off the host Granite City Warriors (Granite City, IL), 49-39 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Crimsons (2-8) will now prepare for their test against MacArthur (Decatur, IL). The Generals go into the Central State Eight test with a 3-6 record. In their last test, MacArthur went down by Rochester (Rochester, IL), 59-41, in a league test.
The Warriors now own a 3-2 record. They play next when they travel to Father McGivney Catholic for a non-league test on Saturday, December 10. Granite City will encounter a Griffins squad coming off a 59-39 league win over Marquette Catholic (Alton, IL). The Griffins record now stands at 7-1.
