Georgia High School Basketball - Northgate thwarts Temple
January 6, 2024: Newnan, GA 30265 The Northgate Vikings (Newnan, GA) basketball knocked off the visiting Temple Tigers (Temple, GA), 74-62 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Vikings (10-5) will now prepare for their test against Northside (Columbus, GA). The Patriots go into the AAAAA Region 3 test with a 1-9 record. In their last test, Northside went down by Hardaway (Columbus, GA), 69-31, in a non-league test.
The Tigers now own a 8-6 record. They play next when they travel to Haralson County for a non-league test on Tuesday, January 9. Temple will encounter a Rebels squad coming off a 77-44 league loss to Fannin County (Blue Ridge, GA). The Rebels record now stands at 5-9.
