Washington, DC High School Basketball - DeMatha overwhelms Archbishop Carroll
February 10, 2009: Washington, DC 20001 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the DeMatha Stags (Hyattsville, MD) and the host Archbishop Carroll Lions (Washington, DC), saw DeMatha's basketball squad trounce Archbishop Carroll by a score of 65-39.
With the victory, DeMatha improves its record to 23-3 on the campaign. The Stags host Bishop Ireton (Alexandria, VA) to battle the Cardinals in a Washington Catholic challenge on Friday, February 13. The Cardinals come into the challenge with a record of 5-18.
Next up, the Lions battle the St. John's Cadets (Washington, DC) in a Washington Catholic battle, on Friday, February 13. Archbishop Carroll will attempt to improve on its 7-14 season record. The Cadets come into the battle with a 8-15 record after their 62-54 league loss to Bishop McNamara (Forestville, MD).
