Indiana High School Basketball - Washington Township knocked off by Wirt
January 31, 2009: Valparaiso, IN In Saturday's non-league match, the visiting Wirt Troopers basketball team scored a good 49-34 triumph over the Washington Township Senators.
In their next game, the Troopers confront the East Chicago Central Cardinals (East Chicago, IN) in a non-league match, on Tuesday, February 3. Wirt will attempt to better on its 3-8 season record. The Cardinals enter the match with a 10-5 record after their 63-54 non-league loss to West Side (Gary, IN).
With the defeat, Washington Township moves to 5-9 on the year. The Senators travel to Hebron (Hebron, IN) to confront the Hawks in a Porter County match on Friday, February 6. The Hawks enter the match with a record of 2-11. Hebron lost 52-25 in their recent non-league match against Rensselaer Central (Rensselaer, IN)
