North Carolina High School Basketball - Clayton fells Richmond

December 6, 2017: Clayton, NC 27520

Clayton Comets (Clayton, NC) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Richmond Raiders (Rockingham, NC), 57-42 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Clayton upgrades its record to 3-3 on the season. The Comets travel to Corinth Holders (Wendell, NC) to play the Pirates in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 7. The Pirates go into the bout with a record of 3-3. Corinth Holders won 40-31 in their recent non-league bout against Princeton (Princeton, NC)

Next up, the Raiders play the Pinecrest Patriots (Southern Pines, NC) in a Sandhills 4A game, on Friday, December 8. Richmond will attempt to move on its 0-2 season record. The Patriots enter the game with a 7-0 record after their 71-31 non-league win over Anson (Wadesboro, NC).
