In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Central Eagles football squad scored a close 32-25 victory over the Anson Bearcats.

In their next game, the Eagles face the Lancaster Bruins (Lancaster, SC) in a non-league bout, on Friday, September 7. Central will attempt to move on its 1-1 season record.

The Bearcats (0-2) will now prepare for their bout against Richmond (Rockingham, NC). The Raiders enter the non-league bout with a 2-0 record. In their last bout, Richmond nudged Lee County (Sanford, NC), 55-28, in a non-league bout.
