Florida High School Basketball - Citrus nudges Central

In Tuesday's league outing, the Citrus Hurricanes (Inverness, FL) basketball squad edged the host Central Bears (Brooksville, FL), by a count of 61-58.

The Hurricanes (7-6) will now prepare for their outing against Zephyrhills (Zephyrhills, FL). The Bulldogs go into the non-league outing with a 10-3 record. In their last outing, Zephyrhills held off Friendship Collegiate Academy (Washington, DC), 56-49, in a non-league outing.

The Bears now hold a 6-7 record. They play next when they travel to Crystal River for a 6A District 7 outing on Friday, January 6. Central will clash with a Pirates squad coming off a 65-42 non-league win over Trenton (Trenton, FL). The Pirates record now stands at 7-5.
