The Pymatuning Valley Lakers (Andover, OH) basketball knocked off the visiting Mathews Mustangs (Vienna, OH), 79-61 in Friday's league test.

The Lakers (11-3) will now prepare for their test against Grand Valley (Orwell, OH). The Mustangs go into the non-league test with a 3-10 record. In their last test, Grand Valley went down by Berkshire (Burton, OH), 54-49, in a league test.

The Mustangs now own a 9-5 record. They play next when they travel to Badger for a Northeastern test on Tuesday, January 30. Mathews will encounter a Braves squad coming off a 77-38 league win over Maplewood (Cortland, OH). The Braves record now stands at 12-3.
