Virginia High School Basketball - Rock Ridge holds off Loudoun Valley
January 26, 2024: Purcellville, VA 20132 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Rock Ridge Phoenix (Ashburn, VA) and the host Loudoun Valley Vikings (Purcellville, VA), saw Rock Ridge's basketball squad hold off Loudoun Valley by a tally of 43-42.
With the victory, Rock Ridge improves its record to 10-6 on the campaign. The Phoenix travel to John Champe (Aldie, VA) to confront the Knights in a non-league challenge on Monday, January 29. The Knights come into the challenge with a record of 9-8. John Champe lost 54-47 in their recent league challenge against Woodgrove (Purcellville, VA)
Next up, the Vikings confront the Heritage Pride (Leesburg, VA) in a Dulles challenge, on Monday, January 29. Loudoun Valley will attempt to improve on its 11-6 season record. The Pride come into the challenge with a 3-13 record after their 58-49 league win over Dominion (Sterling, VA).
