November 30, 2023: Brownsville, TX 78520 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Pace Vikings (Brownsville, TX) and the visiting Port Isabel Tarpons (Port Isabel, TX), saw Pace's basketball squad hold off Port Isabel by a count of 44-37.
With the victory, Pace upgrades its record to 4-4 on the campaign. The Vikings travel to Los Fresnos (Los Fresnos, TX) to play the Falcons in a non-league challenge on Friday, December 1. The Falcons come into the challenge with a record of 9-1. Los Fresnos won 85-18 in their recent non-league challenge against Juarez-Lincoln (La Joya, TX)
Next up, the Tarpons play the San Benito Greyhounds (San Benito, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 1. Port Isabel will attempt to upgrade on its 3-2 season record. The Greyhounds come into the challenge with a 3-3 record after their 51-39 non-league win over Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Southwest (Pharr, TX).
