The Presque Isle Wildcats basketball team scored 72 points and held the visiting Houlton Shiretowners to 51 in the Wildcats league triumph on Wednesday.

The Wildcats now sport a 2-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Hermon for a B North contest on Saturday, January 13. Presque Isle will battle a Hawks team coming off a 43-40 league loss to Old Town (Old Town, ME). The Hawks record now stands at 5-5.

The Shiretowners (2-9) will now prepare for their contest against Orono (Orono, ME). The Riots enter the B North contest with a 8-3 record. In their last contest, Orono was routed by Ellsworth (Ellsworth, ME), 62-49, in a league contest.
