Maine High School Basketball - Orono overwhelms Presque Isle
January 20, 2024: Orono, ME 04473 Fans at Saturday's league challenge between the Orono Riots (Orono, ME) and the visiting Presque Isle Wildcats (Presque Isle, ME), saw Orono's basketball squad wallop Presque Isle by a tally of 53-32.
With the victory, Orono improves its record to 10-3 on the campaign. The Riots travel to Mount Desert Island (Mount Desert, ME) to confront the Trojans in a B North challenge on Tuesday, January 23. The Trojans come into the challenge with a record of 6-6. Mount Desert Island won 64-56 in their recent league challenge against John Bapst Memorial (Bangor, ME)
Next up, the Wildcats confront the Hermon Hawks (Hermon, ME) in a B North challenge, on Tuesday, January 23. Presque Isle will attempt to improve on its 3-9 season record. The Hawks come into the challenge with a 7-5 record after their 60-53 league win over Caribou (Caribou, ME).
