Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Riverton Hawks (Riverton, IL) and the visiting Tri-City Tornadoes (Buffalo, IL), saw Riverton's basketball squad crush Tri-City by a margin of 64-35.

The Hawks (9-13) will now prepare for their test against Olympia (Stanford, IL). The Spartans go into the Sangamo test with a 5-17 record. In their last test, Olympia was trounced by Williamsville (Williamsville, IL), 64-39, in a league test.

The Tornadoes now own a 6-18 record. They play next when they host Mt. Pulaski for a non-league test on Tuesday, January 31. Tri-City will encounter a Hilltoppers squad coming off a 68-39 non-league loss to Williamsville (Williamsville, IL). The Hilltoppers record now stands at 6-16.
