February 3, 2023: Texico, NM 88135 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Pecos Panthers (Pecos, NM) and the host Texico Wolverines (Texico, NM), saw Pecos's basketball squad overcome Texico by a tally of 67-52.
With the victory, Pecos improves its record to 20-3 on the campaign. The Panthers host Clayton (Clayton, NM) to confront the Yellowjackets in a 2A District 6 challenge on Thursday, February 9. The Yellowjackets come into the challenge with a record of 12-9. Clayton lost 70-59 in their recent league challenge against Santa Rosa (Santa Rosa, NM)
Next up, the Wolverines confront the Santa Rosa Lions (Santa Rosa, NM) in a 2A District 6 challenge, on Thursday, February 9. Texico will attempt to improve on its 12-10 season record. The Lions come into the challenge with a 18-5 record after their 70-59 league win over Clayton (Clayton, NM).
