In Friday's league outing, the Pilot Point Bearcats (Pilot Point, TX) basketball squad nipped the visiting Boyd Yellowjackets (Boyd, TX), by a margin of 48-42.

The Bearcats (5-12) will now prepare for their outing against Valley View (Valley View, TX). The Eagles go into the 3A Region II District 10 outing with a 12-12 record. In their last outing, Valley View was tipped by Paradise (Paradise, TX), 65-33, in a league outing.

The Yellowjackets now own a 14-8 record. They play next when they host Callisburg for a 3A Region II District 10 outing on Tuesday, January 17. Boyd will clash with a Wildcats squad coming off a 64-53 league loss to Whitesboro (Whitesboro, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 9-15.
