Texas High School Basketball - Boyd nips Valley View

January 20, 2023: Valley View, TX 76272

Boyd Yellowjackets (Boyd, TX) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Valley View Eagles (Valley View, TX), 37-32 in a league bout.

With the victory, Boyd upgrades its record to 16-8 on the campaign. The Yellowjackets host Ponder (Ponder, TX) to play the Lions in a 3A Region II District 10 bout on Tuesday, January 24. The Lions come into the bout with a record of 12-4. Ponder won 58-36 in their recent league bout against Paradise (Paradise, TX)

Next up, the Eagles play the Callisburg Wildcats (Gainesville, TX) in a 3A Region II District 10 bout, on Tuesday, January 24. Valley View will attempt to upgrade on its 12-14 season record. The Wildcats come into the bout with a 10-16 record after their 63-40 league win over S & S Consolidated (Sadler, TX).
