In Friday's league match, the visiting Hempfield Area Spartans football squad scored a big 55-20 victory over the Kiski Area Cavaliers.

In their next game, the Spartans clash with the Connellsville Falcons (Connellsville, PA) in a WPIAL AAAA Foothills match, on Friday, September 19. Hempfield Area will attempt to move on its 1-2 season record. The Falcons enter the match with a 1-2 record after their 21-7 league win over Greater Latrobe (Latrobe, PA).
