Chase Trojans (Forest City, NC) supporters left the game in high spirits Thursday as they observed their volleyball squad top the host Shelby Golden Lions (Shelby, NC), 3-1 in a non-league match.

Next up, the Trojans clash with the East Rutherford Cavaliers (Forest City, NC) in a Mountain Foothills Seven 1A/2A match, on Tuesday, September 26. Chase will attempt to advance on its 7-5 season record. The Cavaliers come into the match with a 10-6 record after their 3-0 league loss to Brevard (Brevard, NC).

With the loss, Shelby drops to 2-11 on the campaign. The Golden lions travel to Cherryville (Cherryville, NC) to clash with the Ironmen in a Southern Piedmont 1A/2A match on Tuesday, September 26.
