Texas High School Basketball - Texoma Christian prevails Pottsboro
December 29, 2008: Sherman, TX 75092 Texoma Christian Eagles (Sherman, TX) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Pottsboro Cardinals (Pottsboro, TX), 54-44 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Texoma Christian upgrades its record to 6-1 on the season. The Eagles host Summit (Arlington, TX) to play the Jaguars in a non-league bout on Friday, January 2. The Jaguars go into the bout with a record of 15-3. Summit won 61-23 in their recent non-league bout against Tivy (Kerrville, TX)
Next up, the Cardinals play the Aubrey Chaparrals (Aubrey, TX) in a 2A Region II District 10 bout, on Saturday, January 3. Pottsboro will attempt to upgrade on its 1-7 season record. The Chaparrals go into the bout with a 14-4 record after their 41-24 non-league win over Lake Dallas (Corinth, TX).
