Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Deer Valley Skyhawks (Glendale, AZ) and the host Desert Edge Scorpions (Goodyear, AZ), saw Deer Valley's basketball squad wallop Desert Edge by a count of 60-19.

With the victory, Deer Valley upgrades its record to 13-2 on the campaign. The Skyhawks travel to Peoria (Peoria, AZ) to play the Panthers in a 4A West Valley challenge on Tuesday, January 11. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 13-5. Peoria won 43-27 in their recent league challenge against Goldwater (Phoenix, AZ)

Next up, the Scorpions play the Prescott Badgers (Prescott, AZ) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 10. Desert Edge will attempt to upgrade on its 5-8 season record. The Badgers come into the challenge with a 1-11 record after their 56-29 league loss to Flagstaff (Flagstaff, AZ).
