The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Sachse Mustangs (Sachse, TX) and the visiting Wylie Pirates (Wylie, TX), observed Sachse's football squad thwart Wylie by a count of 37-24.

The Mustangs now own a 1-0 record. They play next when they travel to Plano West for a non-league contest on Friday, September 4. Sachse will play a Wolves squad coming off a 33-14 non-league win over Mesquite (Mesquite, TX). The Wolves record now stands at 1-0.

Coming up next, the Pirates play the West Mesquite Wranglers (Mesquite, TX) in a non-league contest, on Friday, September 4. Wylie will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Wranglers go into the contest with a 0-1 record after their 22-9 non-league loss to Seguin (Arlington, TX).
