Plano East Panthers (Plano, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Coppell Cowboys (Coppell, TX), 79-68 in a league bout.

With the win, Plano East upgrades its record to 21-3 on the season. The Panthers host Plano West (Plano, TX) to play the Wolves in a 6A Region I District 6 bout on Friday, January 13. The Wolves go into the bout with a record of 13-11. Plano West won 50-48 in their recent league bout against Marcus (Flower Mound, TX)

Next up, the Cowboys play the Plano Wildcats (Plano, TX) in a 6A Region I District 6 bout, on Friday, January 13. Coppell will attempt to upgrade on its 18-7 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 13-7 record after their 72-67 league loss to Lewisville (Lewisville, TX).
