Virginia High School Basketball - Eastern Montgomery ripped by Covington

The Covington Cougars basketball team scored 60 points and held the host Eastern Montgomery Mustangs to 33 in the Cougars league triumph on Tuesday.
The Cougars now sport a 4-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Meadow Bridge for a non-league contest on Wednesday, January 11. Covington will meet a Wildcats team coming off a 76-32 non-league loss to Midland Trail (Hico, WV). The Wildcats record now stands at 2-6.
The Mustangs (1-11) will now prepare for their contest against Montcalm (Montcalm, WV). The Generals enter the non-league contest with a 7-3 record. In their last contest, Montcalm was routed by Greater Beckley Christian (Prosperity, WV), 54-42, in a non-league contest.
