The Cranbrook Kingswood Cranes (Bloomfield Hills, MI) basketball nipped the visiting University Liggett Knights (Grosse Pointe Woods, MI), 69-65 in Tuesday's non-league test.

The Cranes (4-3) will now prepare for their test against Lutheran North (Macomb, MI). The Mustangs go into the Catholic AA test with a 4-2 record. In their last test, Lutheran North got by Cardinal Mooney Catholic (Marine City, MI), 51-46, in a league test.

The Knights now own a 5-1 record. They play next when they host Everest Collegiate for a non-league test on Thursday, January 12. University Liggett will encounter a squad coming off a 77-26 non-league loss to Loyola (Detroit, MI). The record now stands at 4-3.
