The University Liggett Knights (Grosse Pointe Woods, MI) basketball nipped the visiting Cranbrook Kingswood Cranes (Bloomfield Hills, MI), 56-54 in Tuesday's non-league test.

The Knights (8-3) will now prepare for their test against Everest Collegiate (Clarkston, MI). The go into the non-league test with a 6-6 record. In their last test, Everest Collegiate was tipped by Loyola (Detroit, MI), 67-30, in a non-league test.

The Cranes now own a 4-9 record. They play next when they host Lutheran North for a Catholic AA test on Friday, February 3. Cranbrook Kingswood will encounter a Mustangs squad coming off a 52-51 league win over Cardinal Mooney Catholic (Marine City, MI). The Mustangs record now stands at 9-3.
