The Valley Vikings basketball team (New Kensington, PA), dropped 47-38 in Tuesday's league battle with the host Derry Trojans (Derry, PA)
The Trojans now possess a 7-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Shady Side Academy for a WPIAL 3A 3 battle on Friday, January 13. Derry will battle a Bulldogs team coming off a 78-52 league win over Ligonier Valley (Ligonier, PA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 8-3.
The Vikings (3-10) will now prepare for their outing against Deer Lakes (Russellton, PA). The Lancers go into the WPIAL 3A 3 outing with a 6-6 record. In their last outing, Deer Lakes defeated Apollo Ridge (Spring Church, PA), 87-33, in a league outing.
