The West Bladen Knights basketball team (Bladenboro, NC), was nudged 47-44 in Tuesday's league battle with the visiting Fairmont Golden Tornadoes (Fairmont, NC)
The Golden Tornadoes now sport a 4-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to East Bladen for a 2A Conference 7 battle on Friday, January 13. Fairmont will battle a Eagles team coming off a 54-45 non-league loss to Heide Trask (Rocky Point, NC). The Eagles record now stands at 11-2.
The Knights (10-5) will now prepare for their battle against Red Springs (Red Springs, NC). The Red Devils come into the 2A Conference 7 battle with a 11-3 record. In their last battle, Red Springs edged Clinton (Clinton, NC), 95-55, in a league battle.
