North Carolina High School Basketball - Fairmont can't hold off West Bladen

The West Bladen Knights basketball team scored 44 points and held the host Fairmont Golden Tornadoes to 39 in the Knights league triumph on Wednesday.
The Knights now sport a 15-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Red Springs for a 2A Conference 7 contest on Friday, February 3. West Bladen will battle a Red Devils team coming off a 78-45 league win over Clinton (Clinton, NC). The Red Devils record now stands at 15-6.
The Golden Tornadoes (6-15) will now prepare for their contest against East Bladen (Elizabethtown, NC). The Eagles enter the 2A Conference 7 contest with a 15-4 record. In their last contest, East Bladen was nudged by West Bladen (Bladenboro, NC), 54-52, in a league contest.
