The Franklin Regional Panthers (Murrysville, PA) basketball knocked off the host Greater Latrobe Wildcats (Latrobe, PA), 52-39 in Tuesday's league test.

The Panthers (11-4) will now prepare for their test against Gateway (Monroeville, PA). The Gators go into the WPIAL 5A 3 test with a 7-3 record. In their last test, Gateway notched a victory over Kiski Area (Vandergrift, PA), 65-34, in a league test.

The Wildcats now own a 2-8 record. They play next when they travel to Penn-Trafford for a WPIAL 5A 3 test on Friday, January 13. Greater Latrobe will encounter a Warriors squad coming off a 65-59 league loss to McKeesport (McKeesport, PA). The Warriors record now stands at 2-10.
