In Tuesday's league outing, the Signal Mountain Eagles (Signal Mountain, TN) basketball squad felled the host Hixson Wildcats (Hixson, TN), by a margin of 53-38.

The Eagles (9-8) will now prepare for their outing against East Hamilton (Ooltewah, TN). The Hurricanes go into the 3A District 6 outing with a 12-4 record. In their last outing, East Hamilton thwarted Chattanooga Central (Harrison, TN), 69-39, in a league outing.

The Wildcats now own a 0-13 record. They play next when they travel to Chattanooga Prep for a non-league outing on Thursday, January 12. Hixson will encounter a Sentinels squad coming off a 87-44 non-league win over South Pittsburg (South Pittsburg, TN). The Sentinels record now stands at 16-5.
