Keene Chargers (Keene, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Whitney Wildcats (Whitney, TX), 53-50 in a league bout.

With the win, Keene upgrades its record to 18-6 on the season. The Chargers travel to West (West, TX) to play the Trojans in a 3A Region III District 17 bout on Friday, January 13. The Trojans go into the bout with a record of 0-15. West lost 60-52 in their recent league bout against Clifton (Clifton, TX)

Next up, the Wildcats play the Grandview Zebras (Grandview, TX) in a 3A Region III District 17 bout, on Friday, January 13. Whitney will attempt to upgrade on its 14-9 season record. The Zebras go into the bout with a 15-9 record after their 61-58 league win over Maypearl (Maypearl, TX).
