The Melbourne Bearkatz (Melbourne, AR) basketball felled the visiting Walnut Ridge Bobcats (Walnut Ridge, AR), 62-46 in Tuesday's league test.
The Bearkatz (3-8) will now prepare for their test against Mountain View (Mountain View, AR). The Yellowjackets go into the 3A Region 2 test with a 10-4 record. In their last test, Mountain View thwarted Newport (Newport, AR), 44-41, in a league test.
The Bobcats now own a 6-8 record. They play next when they host Newport for a 3A Region 2 test on Saturday, January 14. Walnut Ridge will encounter a Greyhounds squad coming off a 44-41 league loss to Mountain View (Mountain View, AR). The Greyhounds record now stands at 7-7.
