Utopia Buffaloes (Utopia, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Nueces Canyon Panthers (Barksdale, TX), 76-37 in a league bout.

With the win, Utopia upgrades its record to 5-12 on the season. The Buffaloes travel to Knippa (Knippa, TX) to play the Crushers in a 1A Region IV District 31 bout on Friday, January 13. The Crushers go into the bout with a record of 7-14. Knippa lost 56-25 in their recent league bout against D'Hanis (D'Hanis, TX)

Next up, the Panthers play the Knippa Crushers (Knippa, TX) in a 1A Region IV District 31 bout, on Tuesday, January 17. Nueces Canyon will attempt to upgrade on its 3-10 season record.
