Yoakum Bulldogs (Yoakum, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Palacios Sharks (Palacios, TX), 55-54 in a league bout.

With the win, Yoakum upgrades its record to 2-9 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to Industrial (Vanderbilt, TX) to play the Cobras in a 3A Region IV District 25 bout on Friday, January 20. The Cobras go into the bout with a record of 14-7.

Next up, the Sharks play the Columbus Cardinals (Columbus, TX) in a 3A Region IV District 25 bout, on Friday, January 13. Palacios will attempt to upgrade on its 6-12 season record. The Cardinals go into the bout with a 15-4 record after their 62-46 league win over Tidehaven (El Maton, TX).
