The Palacios Sharks basketball team (Palacios, TX), was toppled 43-28 in Friday's league battle with the host Yoakum Bulldogs (Yoakum, TX)
The Bulldogs now sport a 4-13 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Edna for a 3A Region IV District 25 contest on Tuesday, February 7. Yoakum will battle a Cowboys team coming off a 66-46 league win over Rice Consolidated (Altair, TX). The Cowboys record now stands at 15-2.
The Sharks (6-19) will now prepare for their contest against Columbus (Columbus, TX). The Cardinals enter the 3A Region IV District 25 contest with a 20-6 record. In their last contest, Columbus ran past Tidehaven (El Maton, TX), 57-23, in a league contest.
