York Dukes (Elmhurst, IL) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Proviso West Panthers (Hillside, IL), 63-51 in a league bout.

With the win, York upgrades its record to 10-9 on the season. The Dukes host Oak Park-River Forest (Oak Park, IL) to play the Huskies in a West Suburban - Silver bout on Saturday, January 14. The Huskies go into the bout with a record of 7-9. Oak Park-River Forest lost 76-47 in their recent league bout against Lyons (LaGrange, IL)

Next up, the Panthers play the Hinsdale Central Red Devils (Hinsdale, IL) in a West Suburban - Silver bout, on Friday, January 13. Proviso West will attempt to upgrade on its 6-8 season record. The Red Devils go into the bout with a 14-3 record after their 48-46 league win over Downers Grove North (Downers Grove, IL).
