The York Dukes (Elmhurst, IL) basketball nipped the visiting Proviso West Panthers (Hillside, IL), 59-52 in Saturday's league test.
The Dukes (4-5) will now prepare for their test against Hinsdale South (Darien, IL). The Hornets go into the non-league test with a 4-4 record. In their last test, Hinsdale South got by Leyden (Franklin Park, IL), 53-49, in a league test.
The Panthers now own a 3-4 record. They play next when they travel to Prosser for a non-league test on Monday, December 12. Proviso West will encounter a Falcons squad coming off a 63-41 league loss to Westinghouse (Chicago, IL). The Falcons record now stands at 2-6.
