The Abbott Panthers basketball team (Abbott, TX), was overwhelmed 78-29 in Tuesday's league battle with the visiting Aquilla Cougars (Aquilla, TX)
The Cougars now possess a 18-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Oglesby for a 1A Region IV District 25 battle on Friday, January 13. Aquilla will confront a Tigers team coming off a 56-26 league win over Gholson (Waco, TX). The Tigers record now stands at 13-4.
The Panthers (1-12) will now prepare for their battle against Jonesboro (Jonesboro, TX). The Eagles come into the 1A Region IV District 25 battle with a 5-8 record. In their last battle, Jonesboro was overwhelmed by Aquilla (Aquilla, TX), 55-21, in a league battle.
