The Austin Panthers (Austin, PA) basketball nipped the host Smethport Hubbers (Smethport, PA), 43-38 in Tuesday's league test.
The Panthers (3-2) will now prepare for their test against Coudersport (Coudersport, PA). The Falcons go into the North Tier test with a 9-2 record. In their last test, Coudersport got by Galeton (Galeton, PA), 54-25, in a league test.
The Hubbers now own a 2-8 record. They play next when they travel to Otto-Eldred for a North Tier test on Thursday, January 12. Smethport will encounter a Terrors squad coming off a 53-11 league win over Austin (Austin, PA). The Terrors record now stands at 9-1.
