Georgia High School Basketball - Fitzgerald can't hold off Berrien

The Berrien Rebels basketball team scored 50 points and held the host Fitzgerald Purple Hurricane to 45 in the Rebels league triumph on Tuesday.
The Rebels now sport a 11-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Sumter County for a AA Region 1 contest on Friday, January 13. Berrien will battle a Panthers team coming off a 52-36 league loss to Fitzgerald (Fitzgerald, GA). The Panthers record now stands at 1-8.
The Purple Hurricane (5-7) will now prepare for their contest against Dodge County (Eastman, GA). The Indians enter the AA Region 1 contest with a 11-1 record. In their last contest, Dodge County nudged Cook (Adel, GA), 56-32, in a league contest.
