Calhoun Yellow Jackets (Calhoun, GA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Cass Colonels (White, GA), 67-55 in a league bout.

With the win, Calhoun upgrades its record to 12-3 on the season. The Yellow Jackets host Woodland (Cartersville, GA) to play the Wildcats in a AAAAA Region 7 bout on Friday, January 13. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 2-13. Woodland lost 68-16 in their recent league bout against Hiram (Hiram, GA)

Next up, the Colonels play the Cartersville Hurricanes (Cartersville, GA) in a AAAAA Region 7 bout, on Friday, January 13. Cass will attempt to upgrade on its 12-3 season record. The Hurricanes go into the bout with a 9-3 record after their 59-55 league win over Dalton (Dalton, GA).
