Calhoun Yellow Jackets (Calhoun, GA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Cass Colonels (White, GA), 60-55 in a league bout.

With the win, Calhoun upgrades its record to 18-3 on the season. The Yellow Jackets travel to Hiram (Hiram, GA) to clash with the Hornets in a AAAAA Region 7 bout on Friday, February 3. The Hornets go into the bout with a record of 17-4. Hiram won 68-11 in their recent league bout against Woodland (Cartersville, GA)

Next up, the Colonels clash with the Dalton Catamounts (Dalton, GA) in a AAAAA Region 7 bout, on Friday, February 3. Cass will attempt to upgrade on its 13-8 season record. The Catamounts go into the bout with a 16-6 record after their 55-43 league win over Cartersville (Cartersville, GA).
