In Tuesday's league match, the visiting Canyon Cougars basketball team scored a tight 39-36 triumph over the Seguin Matadors.
In their next game, the Cougars meet the Wagner Thunderbirds (San Antonio, TX) in a 5A Region IV District 26 match, on Friday, January 13. Canyon will attempt to better on its 4-15 season record. The Thunderbirds enter the match with a 16-4 record after their 77-25 league win over Veterans Memorial (San Antonio, TX).
