New Jersey High School Basketball - Cedar Grove can't hold off West Essex

The West Essex Knights basketball team scored 52 points and held the host Cedar Grove Panthers to 48 in the Knights non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Knights now sport a 6-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Central for a non-league contest on Thursday, January 12. West Essex will battle a Blue Devils team coming off a 41-40 non-league loss to Nutley (Nutley, NJ). The Blue Devils record now stands at 6-5.
The Panthers (1-7) will now prepare for their contest against Mount St. Dominic Academy (Caldwell, NJ). The Lions enter the non-league contest with a 3-6 record. In their last contest, Mount St. Dominic Academy was nudged by West Orange (West Orange, NJ), 43-28, in a non-league contest.
