The Clarke Indians basketball team (Osceola, IA), was nudged 60-55 in Tuesday's league battle with the host Chariton Chargers (Chariton, IA)
The Chargers now possess a 4-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Albia for a South Central battle on Friday, January 13. Chariton will confront a Blue Demons team coming off a 45-25 league loss to Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont (Eddyville, IA). The Blue Demons record now stands at 6-6.
The Indians (7-2) will now prepare for their battle against Knoxville (Knoxville, IA). The Panthers come into the South Central battle with a 8-3 record. In their last battle, Knoxville edged Cardinal (Eldon, IA), 62-51, in a non-league battle.
